So like many other reviewers, I've tried multiple old fashioned syrups, and always went right back to making my own concoctions. Even though I've been trying to perfect the "perfect" old fashioned cocktail for many years, I still never get that true consistency that leaves me totally satisfied. I pride myself in making my own cocktails, including making my own syrups, and using fresh ingredients for mixers. With that said, I recently purchased Smokeshow's old fashioned syrup, and I'll admit that I had my doubts. Most of these syrups have a funny taste, or the the mix isn't quite right. I figured that this syrup would be the same as all the rest. I'd buy, I'd try, and then I would leave the syrup to rot away in purgatory until I finally threw it out..... Well, I was wrong. Smokeshow somehow got it right. The old fashioned mix is spot on. And I mean every single time. My old fashions taste exactly the same, every time, using their recommended, and simple instructions. It's not easy for me to admit, especially after all my years of making craft cocktails, that these guys have figured it out. Plain and simple. Honestly it kind of makes me mad that I didn't figure it out first. But Bravo to the people at Smokeshow who created this magic juice. It just works. Exactly the same. Every single time. Set your pride aside and try it. I did, and I was completely blown away. They just made a customer for life here. Thanks Smokeshow!
